Some heating expenses are lower than they were last winter, but many Maine people are still wondering how they are going to get through this heating season. There are well advertised heating assistance programs for low-income residents (e.g. LIHEAP), but then there is a huge pool of people who make just enough money to not be eligible for some of those programs. If that describes your situation, don't give up. I've listed a few resources below.
