There are almost as many bakeries in Maine as there are farms. Some carry
"the basics"; others carry more artisanal items. If a bakery
only sells items like donuts and cakes you probably won't see it here.
Here are some Maine bakeries and links to where to find their products.

The Black Crow Bakery bakes its all natural starter breads and
rustic pastries in a wood burning brick oven. They are small enough
to freshly mill many of their flours, organically grow their own
herbs and greens, and use their own free range chicken and goose
eggs.

Mother Oven Bakery, located on Sweet Fern Farm in Bowdoinham, specializes
in certified organic whole grain sourdough bread using as many local
ingredients as possible. 100% of their flour and grains are grown
and milled in Maine.
