For the Maine Beer and Wine Aisle, I am relaxing my already non-purist
definition of "local" even more. Some of the breweries, wineries,
and distilleries below do use local products, but most do not. To apply
a purist definition of local to my Beer and Wine Aisle below would yield
a very short list and would exclude a lot of finely-crafted (in Maine)
beverages.
In addition to the breweries below, there are many fine brew pubs that
only serve their beer in the pub. The intent of The Maine Grocery List
is to provide resources for "take-home" food and beverages,
which is the only reason these brew pubs were excluded.
